Chief Development Officer

Chhaya is an executive in the biopharmaceutical industry with more than 20 years of experience advancing drug development initiatives from early-stage development through commercialization. She has led a wide range of operating functions, including Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Biostatistics, Data Management, Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, Supply Chain, CMC, Quality, and Medical Affairs across both small and midsize pharmaceutical companies.

At Radius Health, she served on the executive committee and helped lead the oncology drug elacestrant — the first oral SERD — from Phase 1 through NDA approval and commercialization. She also led R&D and Discovery teams focused on osteoporosis therapies.

Prior to Radius, she spent 12 years at Shire, where she advanced through multiple leadership roles and led Product Strategy Teams within Technical Operations across all business units, including rare disease, GI, CNS, and other therapeutic areas. In those roles, she was responsible for strategic planning and global launches for a broad portfolio of small molecule, biologic, and peptide therapies.

Chhaya holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and is a certified quality engineer and certified quality manager. She also completed advanced leadership studies through Wharton School.
