William Sharbaugh

Bill Sharbaugh has over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Most recently, Bill served as Chief Operating Officer of PPD for 15 years. Prior to joining PPD, he held various roles at Bristol‐Myers Squibb, including serving as the Vice President of Global Development Operations, responsible for strategic direction for clinical operations located in 55 countries. Prior to Bill’s six‐year tenure at Bristol‐Myers Squibb, he spent 10 years at Merck & Co. in a variety of assignments in clinical supply operations, sales, and manufacturing. Bill holds an MBA and master’s in the management of technology from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and School of Engineering, a master’s in regulatory affairs and quality assurance from the Temple University School of Pharmacy, and a master’s in international relations from the Boston University School of Arts and Sciences. He earned a B.S. in Engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and subsequently held various leadership positions in a Patriot missile battalion.
